The Rundown

An unhealthy craving that opens up unhealed old wounds.

Justine is struggling with keeping her legacy Newspaper afloat during these harsh times by bloggers and online news. And Rafael, the now filthy rich ex-boyfriend, swoops in and makes her a proposition that would save her paper and open up old wounds that were supposed to heal a long time ago. Stay with Rafael for a whole month, and Justine’s legacy will be saved.

Justine is an independent woman who never lets anyone get in her way, but when Rafael comes in and give her such a proposition, it was a struggle for her to keep it in. That wall she built all these years was broken down the moment Rafael looked, touched, spoke, and kissed her. Justine is an easily likeable protagonist, she’s strong and knows what she’s doing.

Rafael, on the other hand, has worked hard all of these years, from growing up with nothing to now making a considerable name for himself in Miami. Behind all, that success and money linger’s an old past that he can’t forget. Although his hot-meter is over the roof, Rafael hides behind the sex and cages himself within that anger that he has for Justine.

Justine and Rafael’s entire storyline is pure passion, love, and a magnetic connection. Both characters are different but are so similar with indecisive emotions. The only difficulty the two characters find is to determine what they’re feeling, which rarely may be an annoyance to the reader.

The Recommendation

Constant Craving is a powerful contemporary romance, not just because of the connection between the couple but the backstory was deep enough that any reader can quickly dive into and connect with.

A recommended novel to those who enjoy contemporary romance with a great balance of steam and depth.
