If you had a writing motto what would it be?
"It does no harm just once in a while to acknowledge that the whole country isn't in flames, that there are people in the country beside politicians, entertainers, and criminals!"

Where do you draw your inspiration?
From life events; I'm 79 years old and retired, so like the insurance commercial says, "We know a lot because we've seen a lot..."

What is one interesting fact about you?
I've been married for 50 years to the same kind, smart, gorgeous woman

Have you learned anything from the self publishing process and would you do anything differently next time?
Be careful where you spend your marketing money; there are a lot of hucksters out there who just want to pick your pocket.

What has been your most successful marketing strategy?
When traveling, I carry a supply of books with me and drop one into every hotel/motel lending library

What is the best kept secret you have found in regard to indie publishing?
Writing your novel is the easy part; getting people to notice it is the hard part
