If you had a writing motto what would it be?
Because I love my distractions when I'm not writing and tinker obsessively when I am, I actually need two. The first is mine: "if you've got time to Skype, you've got time to type", and the other is the tried and true "Perfect is the enemy of good".

Where do you draw your inspiration?
Depends. Sometimes it's a well-executed piece of art or a sad song. Other times, it's a hypothetical question. And of course, my personal history with the odd, the unusual, and the WtF factor into the mix.

What is one interesting fact about you?
I'm big city, born and raised. As such, I never needed a car, which put learning to drive one fairly low on the required skill set. However, learning to fly was at the top. So I was licensed to operate a fixed-wing aircraft and amassed several dozen flying hours, but took the bus home from the airport.

Have you learned anything from the self publishing process and would you do anything differently next time?
Still learning. Fortunately, I've been allied with smart, good people who have advised me. If I've made a gross misstep, it has yet to pronounce itself *fingers crossed*

What has been your most successful marketing strategy?
So far, word of mouth and independent reviews.

What is the best kept secret you have found in regard to indie publishing?
Finding a good, diverse den of other authors to sharpen and be sharpened by. It doesn't matter how good your momma said you are; your fellow writers will make you better. And many will have useful experience in editing and publishing that can ease your transition from a scribbling neophyte to authoring Jedi. Or Sith, if that's your thing. I don't judge.
