Additional Info for Reviewers & Staff
I wasn't getting very much traction pursuing traditional publishing, so I decided to self-publish so that my book wouldn't just sit around gathering dust. I'm not one to wait for someone else to make my book successful. I could start now working toward my own success for myself.
Once I finished self-editing, I took Broken Arrow to a professional editor. After receiving detailed feedback, line and copy editing, and plot developmental editing, I rewrote what needed to be fixed, and took it to another professional editor to work on proofreading and making the finishing touches.
I am an indie writer of young adult fantasy and I was hoping that you would consider reviewing my debut novel Broken Arrow! The reason I chose you among all of the other reviewers is because you like all of the same genres that I do, your smile is contagious (which makes you less intimidating, if I'm being honest), and your blog is simply beautiful (not only in inspirational content, but also in aesthetic)!
I really think you will enjoy Broken Arrow because it is epic, high fantasy, following the adventures of a group of six unlikely teens -- a slave, an assassin, a pirate, a scullery maid, a prince, and a lady -- as they choose sides in the fight to stop the growing evil of the sorcerer Zeldek. The characters are fleshed out and interesting, each with their own character arcs that leave promise for more to come. There are dragons, magics, elementals, detailed mythology and cultures, and interesting plot twists!
Thank you so much for considering my novel, and have a great evening!

An ancient power long kept dormant stirs in the shadows once more as one boy embarks on a quest to earn his freedom and the freedom of his world!
Magic has turned to myth, the Vaelhyreans of old to legend, and the power wielded by the ancients has long been forgotten. However, with Ealdred, a mere half-breed slave boy, myth becomes real, the forgotten remembered, and the power of legend is reborn within him.
Ealdred is merged into a world of mystery, brimming with deceit, where the remaining Vaelhyreans are in a desperate fight for their very survival. When Ealdred is kidnapped by the power-mongering dark lord Zeldek himself, he must make a choice; to commit his newfound magic to Zeldek’s service or die. But when he meets Bellator, clever yet treacherous servant of Zeldek, an alternative is presented to him: to escape from Zeldek’s stronghold and embark on a quest to find a cursed arrow and free the Vaelhyreans from the spell that keeps their powers at bay.
Yet how can he survive in a world where magic is illegal, half-breeds are hated, and the four countries are on the brink of war?
In a world of hidden magic and deception, an ancient evil grows ever bold. Can Ealdred, a hated half-breed slave, stop the darkness before it spreads?
