Author’s Summary

“It’s more than music: it’s light. It’s love. It’s life.”

Jamie’s Children takes place in the 1980s, and the story introduces the children of world-famous operatic tenor Jamie Logan. Just as his son Niall understands that his musical gift is as a singer-songwriter, he begins to manifest symptoms of bipolar disorder. His disease leads him down a dark and difficult path.

Niall’s older sister Laura has her own challenges: discovered to be a violin prodigy at the age of four, she has to find a balance in her life in order to grow as an artist and a woman.

Both of Jamie’s children find their way through difficult and sometimes daunting trials with the power of music, and the love of family, friends, and lovers sustaining them.

Author of How I Grew Up, Eli’s Heart, and You Are My Song (“The Carousel Trilogy”), Jordan draws from her life experiences as a voice teacher and stage director while seamlessly weaving together stories that explore the power music has to inspire and heal.
