The Rundown

Party girl meets and aspiring nurse, hottie. This Aussie novel will lead you through its own rollercoaster ride with instant attractions; mainly in the land down under, and the past that the characters never truly forget.

Wait! There are a couple of reasons why you should give this book a chance. First, to get a kick out of reading a novel based in Australia; which is fairly new to me, especially trying to get my head to read in an Australian accent. And second, to feel the emotion of losing a loved one to suicide and addiction. It’s tough and dark and the trauma can get overwhelming but Stacey Nash, the author, does an amazing job with lightly touching the surface of the situation.

But, Wait! There’s more. Jordan and Hex could make the perfect power couple of the novel. Especially with Jordan’s responsible and protective intentions, plus sexy and firm bod—Mm!— and Hex’s impulsive and fearless appeal, plus her awesome colored hair. Their usual dares to each other, the attraction and the tension is no lie. I just wished they’d got together sooner.

With the two protagonists dealing with their own issues, I’m content with how the book showed us the light when the dark got too much. Although there were a few scenes that seem forced which came out as a too quick and in rare occasions unrealistic, the novel was a good read.

Although Wait! Is the third installment to the Oxley College Series, I’m happy to find out the series can be read in no particular order if the reader cared not for the other protagonists from the other books. So go crazy!

A smooth read that’s sweet with the right kick of drama that’s worth the Wait!

The Recommendation

A great read for readers who enjoy New Adult College Romance, and for those who enjoys a bit of drama in the midst of the sweet romances.
