This Week’s Pitch Perfect Pick

See full issue for 2016 10-17

We receive 10-20 submissions each week, but we rarely publish more than one review! We’re sure we are missing out on some good books… and that’s where Pitch Perfect Picks come in! Each week a team of one to three people looks at our incoming submissions and our Submissions Editor chooses up to five that show exceptional professionalism and originality as the week’s Pitch Perfect Nominations. After that, it’s up to our readers to vote on UBR, and like and share on Facebook to help us choose the final Pitch Perfect Pick of the week. Below is the rundown for October 17, 2016.

Pitch Perfect Pick Winner

Over the last month, our top submissions were put to a vote. This one came out on top.

Healing Ruby

Votes: 13

In rural Depression-era Alabama, 14-year-old Ruby Graves must face poverty, racial barriers, and a pastor bent on her destruction in order to find the faith she needs to unlock a mysterious gift of healing.
